Dating Advice- Living from a different past
Many people are held back in life, blaming their past for their current situation. Maybe Dad wasn’t there for you or you grew up poor, whatever experience you had before seems to dictate the limitations in your future. But, what if you lived from a different past?
You see, your past is just a story that your mind makes up about what happened before. All of your memories are part fact and part fantasy. The fantasy that most carry with them is the dark stories that keep them stuck in current undesirable circumstances. Since you invented the story in the first place, you can amend the tale as much as you like.
What if you decided to believe that you came from royalty and assumed that money was easy to come by? You can believe that your parents were so loving and held you up on a pedestal and you expect to be treated with love and respect in all of your relationships. Maybe you can change the story about your health prognosis and start living from a place of complete health and vitality. Think of all of the possibilities that your imagination can dream up.
So many of my clients tell me they find it difficult to visualize a future when they are happy, in love or healthy. The reason for this block is the heavy weight of past experience that the subconscious holds about their life. The subconscious assumes that the future will be like the past, so anyone can use that mechanism to shift the future.
By living from a place where you believe that the best has already been given to you, you will find it easier to expect that outcome. Just like someone who thinks they will never be successful because the results have not shown up, she can turn her fate around by believing she is always achieved her goals.
You may be wondering if this is lying to yourself and that maybe fantasizing is not healthy. Remember that your life is just that, a string of fantasies created by your mind. Nothing is ever as it seems and you constantly perceive illusory situations as truth.
Do you remember a time when you were scared of something as a child but grew up and saw that the place or thing was not so scary after all? Or how about being so heartbroken over someone only to run into them a few years later and say to yourself, “what was I thinking back then?” Our mind tends to exaggerate the truth automatically and you can take control of your thoughts to create a new story about your past.
The next time you start worry about something that may happen in the future, simply ask yourself how you would feel differently if you were certain that everything would turn out because that is how it has always been. If you always had great relationships, of course you would be happily married one day. If you always made plenty of money, then you would definitely have more than enough for your bills this month.
By allowing yourself the freedom to design a different past, you will feel an incredible sense of peace and power over your future. Your subconscious mind will start shifting the pattern of your thinking in a new direction, support your desired outcome and transform it into reality.
